Silvia Fossaluzza
WATERCOLOURS
About Silvia
Silvia Fossaluzza is a contemporary watercolour artist based in Italia.
After being a dive guide around the world for many years, she returned to her home country to follow an inner call: being a full-time artist.
Although Silvia did an artistic school at a young age, she started to approach and love the watercolour technique many years after, with her favorite artist and mentor, developing through the last years, her own expressive style of painting.
technique
Silvia has been inspired by some of the most atmospheric and loose contemporary artists.
Her watercolour journey has been accompanied since almost the beginning by the unique watercolour teacher and mentor Jean Haines, to whom she is deeply grateful.
With her, Silvia starts to lose the pencil during the painting process, starting on a completely white paper directly with the first brushstroke.
In contrast with Silvia’s previous “pencil only” drawings, that characterized her form of art since the childhood, she found this method of painting very natural and spontaneous to embrace.
